IBTI Organizational Chart
Iowa Biofuels Training International (IBTI) is a not-for-profit organization. As a 501(c)(3) organization, IBTI qualifies for local, state and federal funding allocated for non-profit organizations. IBTI will apply for such funds, and intends to finance the operation and expansion of IBTI through grant support. As the training network grows, so will the resources that can be leveraged for state and federal grant applications.
The United States must address the challenge of training a workforce to serve the rapidly growing biofuel industry. Working with educational and industry partners, Iowa Biofuels Training International (IBTI) will help to make the State of Iowa a regional, national, and international leader in biofuel education and training. IBTI (and its partners) will become the preferred training and resource center by the biofuel industry for the coordination and delivery of comprehensive training programs.
IBTI has been initially funded through a partnership between Kirkwood Community College and Indian Hills Community College. This has evolved into a consortium of community colleges and universities in Iowa. This continues to expand to other partner institutions, industries, and vendors interested in biofuels training.
Companies and educational institutions interested in participating in the development of certification programs should contact IBTI directly.
