Through the collaborative administrative efforts of Indian Hills Community College and Kirkwood Communiyty College, Iowa Biofuels Training International (IBTI) will establish itself at the forefront of biofuels education and training.  Working with educational and industry partners, IBTI will become the regional, national, and international leader in biofuel education and training.   Each partner will strive to build and maintain a skilled workforce for biofuel industries by contributing to curriculum development and incumbent worker training.  IBTI (through its training partners) will become the preferred training and resource center by the biofuel industry for the coordination and delivery of comprehensive biofuel training.

IBTI will realize the vision through:

• New and continuing research on training requirements.
• Curriculum development.
• Consultation with industry experts.
• Development and coordination of a nationwide training network.
• Development of an occupation based "IBTI certification" program.
